Ludwig Wandinger
Ludwig Wandinger is an experimental music producer, drummer and multidisciplinary visual artist, based in Berlin. His musical narratives shift between genres such as experimental IDM, improvised acoustic music, ambient and eclectic sounddesign, while his visuals form around the intersection of surrealism and blown-out chrometype graphic design.
He has worked and performed with artists like Jim Black, Wanja Slavin, Grischa Lichtenberger, Kiani Del Valle, Keith Rankin, the Notwist, Robot Koch, Plus X, Donnie Fredericks, the Berliner Ensemble, Kirke Karja, Dan Nicholls, Sara Persico, Philipp Gropper, Macie Stewart, Ronny Graupe, Luka Aron, John Object, Elias Stemeseder, Tobias Delius, Nick Dunston, Kathrin Pechlof, Greg Cohen, Petter Eldh, Sebastian Gille, Milva Stutz, Antonis Annissegos, Andrea Parkins, Moran Sanderovich, Lucia Cadotsch, Ken Vandermark and many more.
His soloalbums got released through genre-defying labels such as Average Negative/Alpha Pup Records, Mutants Mixtape, Acna Rusd and Orange Milk Records.
Over the years he has played concerts and festivals with various ensembles in South America, China, Switzerland, Vietnam, France, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Philippines, Poland, Indonesia, Iceland, Austria, Romania, Finland, Estonia, Norway and Germany at festivals such as Jazz Fest Berlin, Moers Festival, A l´Arme Festival, Punkt Festival and many more.
Furthermore he was organizing and curating a monthly happening concert series at the Zukunft am Ostkreuz, which is called "Future Bash". The concept of the night was to perform composed and/or improvised sets of experimental music with always changing band constellations, producing a visceral variety of sonic images, always looking for new ways to breaking genre barriers.
His multimedia art has been shown at the "Digital Fog" exhibition at Urban Contemporary, Berlin 2022, Keyframe Digital Art Festival in Vienna, Pop Up Gallery Berlin and "Mana" in Shibuya, Tokyo.
